About the position

The Team Member at Sbarro plays a crucial role in providing excellent front-line service to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. This position involves various responsibilities including serving customers, preparing food, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. Team Members may be cross-trained in multiple roles such as Server/Cashier, Pizza Maker, Steam Cook/Prep, and Dishwasher, allowing for flexibility in fulfilling duties based on sales volume and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers within assigned station, following prescribed methods and standards for guest service.
• Maintain product knowledge of menu items and specials.
• Receive payment for transactions and follow cash handling policies.
• Complete cleaning and stocking duties as per daily operating procedures.
• Practice food safety and sanitation standards required in foodservice establishments.
• Assist other team members as required in various roles.
• Prepare food products according to specifications outlined in the Recipe Manual.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, service stations, and kitchen equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to follow health and safety laws, policies, and procedures.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effective and safe use of kitchen knives.
• Basic command of the English language for communication and understanding.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
