About the position

Menno Haven is seeking a dedicated and proactive Team Services Specialist to join our Team Services (Human Resources) team. This full-time position is essential for managing daily HR operations, providing support to team members and leadership, and ensuring effective execution of Team Services policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in HR best practices and possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. In this role, the Team Services Specialist will provide general HR support and assistance to team members and leadership. A key responsibility will be fostering a positive work environment by addressing team member concerns and resolving workplace conflicts in a timely and professional manner, which may include conducting investigations when necessary. The Specialist will also maintain accurate and up-to-date team member records in the established HR systems, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The position involves participation in Team Services projects and collaboration with team members on various initiatives. The Specialist will assist in preparing and analyzing HR metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making, as well as providing support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Team Services policies and procedures. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, as the Specialist will work independently on assigned tasks. Additionally, the role includes preparing and submitting required regulatory reports and documentation, as well as providing support for organizational events and activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general HR support and assistance to team members and leadership.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing team member concerns and resolving workplace conflicts timely and professionally, including conducting investigations when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date team member records in the established HR systems.
  • Participate in Team Services projects and collaborate with the Team Services team members on various initiatives.
  • Assist, prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide support in the development, implementation and maintenance of Team Services policies and procedures.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Provide support for organizational events and activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as an HR Generalist in the healthcare field preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR practices and labor laws required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities required.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
