About the position

The Teammate Care Center Specialist is a remote support role that serves as the first point of contact for resolving inquiries from teammates, managers, and former employees. This entry-level position provides a broad view of Human Resources functions, including payroll, benefits, and employee relations, while supporting a positive people culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for teammate inquiries and resolve issues with subject matter expert support.
• Facilitate onboarding processes for new teammates, ensuring compliance with I-9 forms and background checks.
• Educate field leaders on onboarding processes and assist with new hire submissions.
• Respond to unemployment claims and maintain accurate records of I-9 compliance.
• Manage teammate questions and concerns, triaging and escalating as necessary.
• Review and report on HR-related data and support HR projects.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Perform routine data audits to identify discrepancies and trends.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a clerical or administrative function, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a Human Resources position or department preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
• Entry-level knowledge of state and federal labor laws and compliance.
• Customer-service oriented with the ability to manage sensitive information appropriately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to research information and recommend appropriate actions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

Nice-to-haves

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
