About the position

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician at Three Crosses Regional Hospital is responsible for maintaining high standards of care by performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment, instruments, and supplies are reusable safely and comply with infection control and safety practices throughout the entire process. Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Ensure equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely in accordance with infection control and safety practices.
• Inspect and assemble all equipment, instruments, scopes, and instrument sets following product recipes.
• Verify that items are functional, free of debris, and required per instrument recipe.
• Utilize approved personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate during cleaning and sterilization processes.
• Lift and move trays of instruments and patient care equipment, such as IV pumps and monitors, weighing up to 25 lbs.

Requirements

• CRCST or CBSPF Certification
• CIS, CER Certification
• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
• At least 1 year of hospital experience
