About the position

Position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the electrical and instrumentation equipment of a new 300 MMSCFD cryogenic natural gas processing plant in the Delaware Basin. The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician is responsible for the installation, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of the plant electrical and controls equipment. The I&E Technician will support equipment which includes but is not limited to the following: Natural gas and liquids separation, Condensate stabilization, Amine treating and gas dehydration, Turbine, reciprocating, and screw compression, Turbine power generation, Propane refrigeration, Natural gas cryogenic processing, CO2 compression, treating, and dehydration, Reverse Osmosis water treating & pumps, Transmitters, valves, actuators, and other instrumentation, Gas and liquids measurement equipment, PLCs and plant control, safety, and communications systems, PDC, MCC, transformers, breakers, wiring, motors, VFDs, generators, and additional electrical equipment, Electrical substation & power distribution, Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). In addition, the I&E Technician will be a key contributor to EOG's proactive safety culture. This is a unique grass-roots opportunity in which the I&E Technician will play a role in the construction of the facility, along with the development of plant maintenance and operating procedures. The I&E Technician will interface regularly with plant mechanic, plant operator, engineering, control room, supply chain, management, and safety teams. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of I&E equipment maintenance and operations and have a proven track record as a leader. Position will be based at the Janus Plant site near Mentone, Texas. Position will have a rotational schedule of day shifts with night call-out responsibilities during the shift. Housing will be provided during the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant electrical and controls equipment.
  • Support equipment including natural gas and liquids separation, condensate stabilization, amine treating and gas dehydration, turbine and reciprocating compression, and more.
  • Contribute to EOG's proactive safety culture.
  • Play a role in the construction of the facility and development of plant maintenance and operating procedures.
  • Interface regularly with plant mechanics, operators, engineering, control room, supply chain, management, and safety teams.
