About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at Union Health plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in the operating room. Requirements

• Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Must have active CST certification.
• Must have active BLS certification.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.
• Maintain aseptic conditions and infection control protocols.
• Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Handle specimens and facilitate their transfer to the laboratory.
• Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.
