About the position

The Tech II - IGX Fronts position at Eaton involves assembling, wiring, fitting, and modifying work related to medium and high voltage assemblies. This role is crucial in the manufacturing process, ensuring that all components meet quality standards and customer specifications. The technician will work closely with engineering and supervision to address customer needs and maintain production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, fit, and modify medium and high voltage assemblies, breaker compartments, and power modules.
• Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, and instructions from supervisors or engineering.
• Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, and production lists as required.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
• Maintain Kanban inventory levels and report shortages to operators.
• Inspect assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
• Respond to change notices and customer requested adjustments.
• Assist engineering and drafting with customer-initiated development work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 months of experience using hand and air tools.
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
