About the position

The Tech Infra Program Manager (Operational Excellence) at Amazon is responsible for leading complex, strategic business initiatives that significantly impact multiple organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a talent for building cross-group relationships. The successful candidate will manage corporate infrastructure programs, develop roadmaps, and align partners to influence operational planning and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive complex, strategic business initiatives with cross-organizational impact.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for cross-group collaboration.
  • Set and drive regular communication cadences for business, operational, and strategic reviews.
  • Engage in special projects and initiatives, driving data-driven decisions across cross-functional teams.
  • Define and own frameworks, processes, and strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Communicate ideas and initiatives clearly to stakeholders, advocating for opportunities up to the VP level.
  • Partner with other business units to influence strategic directions across existing and new workstreams.
  • Facilitate discussions on program direction, strategy, and conflicts.
  • Identify, develop, and implement efficiency opportunities and best practices.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of technical business leadership and roadmap strategy development.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong background in infrastructure and technology development.
  • Experience delivering results as both a hands-on contributor and influential stakeholder.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with root cause/problem analysis using data manipulation tools such as Quicksight and Tableau.
