Tech Lead/Backend Developer (Alpharetta, GA) ONSITE_W2 ONLY

About the position

The Tech Lead/Backend Developer position is based in Alpharetta, GA, and is a 12-month contract-to-hire role. The position requires a strong focus on backend development, with 80% of the role dedicated to hands-on coding and 20% to oversight and collaboration. The candidate will work across multiple projects within the Developer Studio in an Agile/Scrum environment, with sprints tracked in Jira. The role involves collaboration with teams across the West Coast, East Coast, and Offshore, and includes ownership of backend development for the Developer Studio platform.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on coding for backend development.
• Oversee and collaborate with team members.
• Work across multiple projects within the Developer Studio.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum sprints tracked in Jira.
• Collaborate with teams across different geographical locations.
• Take ownership of backend development for the Developer Studio platform.

Requirements

• 7-8 years of total experience in software development.
• 4-5 years of solid hands-on experience in Java and Python, focused on backend development.
• Experience with Java development and Python projects, especially with recent AI integrations.
• Strong architectural mindset capable of handling project delivery independently from the backend side.
• Willingness and confidence to step into a mentorship/lead-like capacity.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, preferably Azure.
• Exposure to GoLang is a plus, as the company is migrating from GoLang to Java.
• Interest or background in FinTech is a bonus.
