About the position

As a Tech Lead Mobile Manager (iOS/Android) for the User Growth team, you will play a pivotal role in leading engineering initiatives that drive user growth across TikTok's platforms. This position offers the opportunity to build best-in-class onboarding experiences and define A/B testing frameworks to enhance user retention rates. You will be part of a full-stack team that leverages TikTok's existing frameworks while also designing and implementing new techniques to improve user experience and showcase TikTok's value proposition. In this role, you will lead a group of top-level engineers, guiding them to solve ambiguous product and engineering challenges. You will be responsible for creating and executing an engineering roadmap that aligns with business objectives, leveraging data to gain insights into user behavior and product performance. Collaboration with design and product teams will be essential to create a world-class mobile experience, while your expertise will help analyze and optimize mobile applications for efficiency and performance. You will promote robust and maintainable code, ensuring clear documentation and high-quality deliverables within tight schedules. Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering direction with a group of top-level engineers to achieve business impact by solving ambiguous product and engineering problems.
• Create and execute the engineering roadmap to achieve incremental business impact.
• Leverage data to understand users and the product in-depth, identifying areas of opportunity and executing projects to drive user growth, retention, and engagement.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience.
• Analyze and optimize mobile applications for efficiency and performance.
• Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors.
• Ability to design an engineering solution to solve ambiguous problems.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, capabilities, and limitations of iOS or Android platforms.
• Proficiency in Objective-C or Swift or Java or Kotlin.
• Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of working experience in native iOS or Android development.
• Passion and experience building consumer-facing products.
