As a Tech Lead Manager in TikTok's E-commerce Global Supply Chain and Logistics team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the logistics and warehousing network on a global scale. Your primary mission will be to leverage data analysis, machine learning, and operational research methodologies to enhance operational efficiency while minimizing costs. You will be responsible for generating a comprehensive data portrait of the supply chain, which includes various dimensions such as vendors, commodities, origin points, inventory, production capabilities, and order fulfillment quality. By establishing data-driven methodologies, you will aim to improve operational outcomes and enhance the user experience in global e-commerce services. In this role, you will also identify and highlight global e-commerce trends to optimize the supply of e-commerce commodities, forecast demand, suggest vendor stocking, and enhance production capacity. As a leader, you will manage a small team, providing guidance and fostering growth while ensuring that project timelines are met. You will be expected to contribute to the construction and enhancement of a smart supply chain through business-focused data mining and continuous algorithm iteration. Strong analytical skills are essential to comprehend the underlying logic of the e-commerce supply chain, and creativity will be crucial in spotting and exploiting opportunities for improvement in warehouse layout optimization, inbound and outbound logistics, vehicle routing, and inventory planning. The successful candidate will be tasked with building optimization models and designing algorithms for decision support. Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging with clients, understanding their business challenges, presenting results, and collaborating with Operations and R&D teams throughout the engagement and implementation process.
