About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. The TikTok Ads Creative & Ecosystem team is dedicated to building industry-leading tech solutions for ad creatives, landing page understanding, production, generation, and optimization. This role is pivotal in empowering advertisers, creators, and third parties to deliver engaging creative experiences to users. The team is focused on driving technology renovation in the ads tech and creative industry, ensuring that products are user-oriented and technically excellent. As a Tech Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing scalable and reliable systems that align with product targets and requirements. You will work on building the TikTok Ads Creative Ecosystem, which includes creative understanding, production, optimization, and the TikTok creative exchange. Your role will involve understanding product objectives and driving user-friendly solutions to meet customer needs. You will also be responsible for managing team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, defining long-term technical roadmaps, and contributing to technical decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams globally in a fast-paced environment is essential, and you will be expected to lead and mentor your team while fostering a culture of innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of scalable and reliable systems aligned with product target and requirements.
• Build the TikTok Ads Creative Ecosystem with creative/landing page understanding, production/generation, optimization, TikTok creative exchange, etc.
• Understand product objectives, drive and develop user-friendly solutions to satisfy customer needs.
• Responsible for the team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Define long-term technical roadmaps and contribute to technical decisions on the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields.
• 7+ years of experience leading a software engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of data structure and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Python, Go, Java, C++.
• Familiar with the entire software development life cycle including product discussion, research, and analysis (demand and supply side), document writing, system design, coding, testing, etc.
• Passion for new technologies and proven capability in analysis and problem-solving.
• Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions in a clear and concise way.
• Very strong teamwork skills (e.g. communication, ownership, empathy, honesty).
