About the position

Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach, and mentor individuals to build a strong cross-functional organization.

  • Assist data leadership in enhancing data reliability, stability, and adoption.
  • Oversee streaming and batch jobs, event-based data integration, and data platform tools.
  • Bring innovative ideas that enhance the customer and colleague experience.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT services, ensuring adherence to SLAs and client expectations.
  • Proactively address service disruptions, escalations, and incident resolution to maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and drive cost optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize the technology stack for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Stay updated on emerging data technologies and trends to foster innovation within the managed services environment.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with industry regulations, standards, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Implement robust security measures to protect client data and systems.
  • Evaluate existing operational processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and automation.
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline service delivery.
  • Cultivate a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
  • Engage with development, operational, and product teams to improve enterprise data support practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in IT operations within a managed services environment, with a focus on data assets.
  • Ability to hire, coach, and mentor team members to foster a strong cross-functional organization.
  • Experience in collaborating with technical teams to implement strategies, architecture guidelines, and standards across various functions.
  • Knowledge of data reliability, stability, and adoption practices to assist data leadership effectively.
  • Strong ability to generate and implement innovative ideas that enhance customer and colleague experiences.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and cybersecurity best practices to ensure compliance and implement security measures.
  • Skills in evaluating operational processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and automation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to senior business stakeholders.
