About the position

The MRI Technologist position at SSM Health involves performing diagnostic medical imaging using magnetic resonance technology under the guidance of a Radiologist, Director, and Manager. Responsibilities

• Performs magnetic resonance imaging examinations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Conducts MR safety screening for all patients, visitors, and staff before entering MR rooms.
• Maintains proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and ensures accurate documentation.
• Observes departmental policies and procedures, including quality assurance and infection control standards.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and department.
• Handles bio-hazardous waste appropriately and follows safety and infection control policies.
• Provides service excellence to customers by delivering timely and high-quality care.
• Incorporates quality assessment into daily work and recommends changes for efficiency.

Requirements

• Certification in MRI technology or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MR anatomical landmarks.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and document procedures accurately.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical information to patients and staff.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
