About the position

The Tech Project Manager at Virtusa is responsible for overseeing IT projects with a focus on Java and DevOps technologies. This role requires extensive experience in project management processes, client interactions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position emphasizes the importance of technical knowledge, particularly in Java and Spring Boot, and involves managing complex project plans and providing solutions to project-related challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex IT projects with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, and DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and senior members in an onsite/offshore model.
• Create, execute, and amend project plans to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide solutions to project-related issues and scenarios.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of IT project experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and DevOps.
• Excellent understanding of project management processes and controls.
• Experience in client-facing roles.
• Ability to understand technical design, solutions, and architecture.
• Experience in creating and managing project plans using MS Project/MPP.
• Coding background and certification in Scrum Master.
