About the position

The Tech Program Manager / Scrum Lead will be responsible for partnering with Product Management and Engineering to translate business value into actionable plans, focusing on Data Governance and Compliance initiatives. This role requires strong agile delivery experience, technical understanding, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The individual will lead agile ceremonies, maintain program metrics, communicate delivery timelines, and manage project plans while ensuring accountability among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead programs across multiple engineering teams within the Data Governance and Compliance team.
  • Lead agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinements, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program progress and quality.
  • Communicate delivery times and scope to other software engineering teams that depend on timely delivery.
  • Manage smaller projects impacting the scrum team, including developing project plans and timelines.
  • Hold functional managers accountable for their teams' deliverables.
  • Identify and manage issues and risks and drive decision making.
  • Communicate program and roadmap status and schedule updates.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, preferably with a focus on data governance and compliance, data engineering, data platforms, or data analytics.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master for cross-functional agile teams.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and analysis, tracking, and reporting tools such as Jira/Confluence, Airtable, G-Suite, and MS Office.
  • Experience with the software development life cycle.
  • Desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with teams on East or West Coast hours, with flexibility to work outside of regular office hours.
