About the position

The Tech Project Manager at SLAIT Consulting will work independently with business partners to identify and implement medium to large technical projects, focusing on areas such as information systems, application development, and data warehouse planning. This role involves managing a team of 5-8 people, applying project management methodologies, and ensuring successful project delivery through effective communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor project team members and other project managers on project management methodology.
• Determine project scope and develop resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans.
• Develop training plans and requirements documents.
• Create project approval matrix and identify project team training and tool needs.
• Define, recommend, and secure contractual agreements for technical services and products.
• Coordinate requirements, schedules for implementation, and post-implementation plans.
• Develop service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resource firms.
• Define quality gates for each project methodology phase and establish critical success factors.
• Manage the project warranty period.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus.
• 5 years of project management experience in information systems, application development, or data warehouse planning.
• Project management certification preferred.
• Demonstrated application of project management methodology and management tools.
