As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing proposals for Jabil Precision Automation's products and services. This role involves collaborating closely with the sales team and prospective customers to formulate effective automation solutions that meet their needs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of information and follow-up for both existing and prospective customers, thereby enhancing our customer engagement and satisfaction. In this position, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of Jabil's full range of services and products, which you will convey to potential clients while adhering to our company messaging and positioning. You will identify a prospect's level of interest in our products or solutions and guide them toward the next stage in our lead generation program. Utilizing software tools such as Salesforce, you will manage the progress of sales efforts and ensure that communications and status updates are handled in a professional, consistent, and timely manner. Your responsibilities will include developing proposal solutions tailored to customer requirements, creating proposal budgets, and writing formal proposals. You will also be tasked with creating customer-facing presentation materials and researching potential customers in new industries, as well as designated accounts. Your ability to profile potential accounts and develop appropriate value propositions will be essential in reaching desired results. Additionally, you will engage in cold calling, nurturing longer-term prospects, and assisting with marketing efforts for lead generation. You will document, track, and monitor all leads and activities in our sales tracking software, ensuring that you maintain clear and accurate records. Collaborating with market specialists, you will identify and source potential leads, follow up with prospects who respond to marketing programs, and utilize internal information to complete customer surveys. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you distribute and analyze sales reports for trends and follow-up requirements, generating monthly reports for the sales group as needed. This role may also involve assisting remote sales managers and directors with information requests and organizing customer tours and visits as necessary. Compliance with company security policies is paramount, and you may be assigned additional duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Jabil's full range of services and products and convey that knowledge to potential clients.
  • Identify a prospect's level of interest in a product or solution and move them toward the next stage in a lead generation program.
  • Manage the progress of sales efforts using software tools such as Salesforce.
  • Manage communications and status updates in a professional, consistent, timely manner ensuring clarity and accuracy of the information.
  • Develop proposal solutions for customer requirements, develop proposal budget and write formal proposals.
  • Create customer facing presentation materials.
  • Research potential customers in new industries, as well as designated accounts and target potential customers.
  • Acquire/generate qualified business leads.
  • Profile potential accounts and develop appropriate value proposition.
  • Develop a plan to reach desired results.
  • Cold call, engage with and develop prospects to be closed by Sales team.
  • Document, track and monitor all leads and activities in sales tracking software (Salesforce.com).
  • Contact and schedule appointments with senior management and/or executives in target market(s).

  • Nurture longer-term prospects and assist in maintaining marketing efforts for lead generation.
  • Follow-up with prospects who responded to marketing programs and campaigns to qualify lead.
  • Utilize internal information and consult with various support departments to complete customer surveys.
  • Distribute and analyze sales reports for trends and follow-up requirements.
  • Generate monthly reports for the sales group(s) as needed.
  • Assist with and maintain marketing efforts for lead generation.
  • Assist remote sales managers/directors with information requests as needed.
  • Assist in customer contact and organization of customer tours and visits as needed.
  • Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering - Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer or related discipline required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years previous inside sales or lead generation experience, prospecting by phone and email required.
  • Sales experience with made to spec capital equipment in a production or manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Strong self-directed, cold prospecting, research and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent probing and listening skills to uncover the prospect's 'pain'.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
