About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Datadog serves as an in-house product expert, providing hands-on technical services to the company's largest customers. The role focuses on supporting, adopting, and guiding clients through the comprehensive suite of Datadog's products and features. The TAM acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring customer satisfaction and success while translating IT operations into business value. This position operates in a hybrid work environment, promoting work-life harmony and collaboration among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on technical support and product adoption for customers in line with pre-sales, post-sales, and renewal processes.
  • Analyze customer's IT Operations environment regularly and provide recommendations to maximize Datadog's value.
  • Act as the customer's advocate by understanding their goals and suggesting process changes, product adoption, configuration, and additional features.
  • Participate in and prepare for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with customers.
  • Collaborate with Datadog's product management, engineering, and technical services teams to identify new features and products.
  • Continuously evolve best practices for technical product adoption and customer success.

Requirements

  • Solid technical grounding and hands-on experience in IT Operations.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, or Chef/Puppet.
  • Skilled in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Gitlab.
  • Knowledgeable about containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
  • Previous experience as a TAM supporting mid-market and/or Enterprise customers in the cloud space.
  • Experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools.
