About the position

The Technical / Account Manager role at TSMC in San Jose, CA, involves managing key accounts and product lines while fostering business and customer relationships. The position requires the creation and execution of sales plans aimed at sustainable growth and customer satisfaction. The role operates in a hybrid work environment, with a focus on collaboration with cross-functional teams and direct engagement with C-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop customer relationships that include C-level executives to leverage influencing and leadership skills to secure TSMC support.
  • Set appropriate final product integrated unit pricing models, including silicon wafer, testing, and assembly/packaging prices.
  • Negotiate and provide quotes to close sales that drive revenue and profitability.
  • Establish account calls and collaboration on technical/cost-effective solutions to meet customer's needs and TSMC's goal.
  • Collaborate within the account team and cross-functional teams on both business and technical issues with tangible actions for account strategy alignment.
  • Drive demand creation including demand forecast and order fulfillment.
  • Perform market and cost analysis to guide clients on the appropriate technology solutions with total cost of ownership in mind.
  • Provide exemplary business analysis support to the Account Director and Senior Director.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in engineering or science
  • 12+ years of combined experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or Foundry Management in semiconductor industry
  • Good knowledge of advanced semiconductor technology, process, and operations including test and product engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Proficient reading financial statements
  • Ability to travel (international and domestic) up to 10% in a year

Nice-to-haves

  • Electrical engineering degree with electives in Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Minimum two (2) years in business or marketing experience in other industries than foundry services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor design with experience working with product engineering
  • Experience in semiconductor backend packaging or process development/integration
  • Experience working with legal teams on business and technology contracts
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with customers
  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills (writing and presentation)
  • Conversational skills in Mandarin and advanced proficiency in Excel
