About the position

The Technical Account Manager for the AD&T Simulation Domain at Siemens is responsible for engaging with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, architecting appropriate simulation solutions, and leading sales strategies within the simulation domain. This role requires a deep understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industries and involves building trusted relationships with clients while guiding them in selecting the right simulation technologies. The position also entails leading presentations, managing technical queries, and supporting sales efforts to enhance Siemens' portfolio usage among customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and build a trusted advisor relationship with clients and sales executives in the Simulation domain.
  • Oversee and guide clients in selecting appropriate Simulation solutions and technology updates.
  • Gather and advise customers on high-level business and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the technical capabilities and business value of Siemens Simulation solutions.
  • Lead the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proposals, and status reviews in the Simulation domain.
  • Regularly interact with executives to become a trusted advisor in the Simulation domain.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Siemens' digital enterprise product design and simulation portfolio.
  • Manage customer technical queries and coordinate responses from resources.
  • Support account managers and pre-sales resources in executing sales opportunities in the Simulation domain.
  • Lead the construction of collateral for client requests and proposals in the simulation domain.
  • Record and distribute results of client meetings and agreements.
  • Document and share best practices and customer success stories within the organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the Simulation domain, including proof of concepts and defining requirements for Simulation Solutions deployment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills that positively influence team success.
  • BS/BA in an Engineering or Simulation discipline.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience leading teams of technical and business consultants.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of recent simulation software sales or presales experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • 5+ years of expertise in the digital enterprise space.
  • Proven success in an Engineering role in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Ability to present technology solutions effectively to groups.
  • Experience with executive-level engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-physics domains and simulation concepts.
