About the position

The position involves engaging with customers to gather business and technical requirements, architecting simulation domain solutions within the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, and leading the development of technical simulation sales strategies. The role requires a deep understanding of the Aerospace and Defense industries and aims to establish trusted advisor relationships with clients while supporting sales efforts through presentations, demonstrations, and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and build a trusted advisor relationship with clients and sales executives in the Simulation domain.
  • Oversee and guide clients in selecting appropriate Simulation solutions and technology.
  • Gather and advise customers on high-level business and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance on the technical capabilities and business value of Siemens Simulation solutions.
  • Lead the development and delivery of Simulation domain presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Interact regularly with executives to become a trusted advisor in the Simulation domain.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Siemens' digital enterprise product design and simulation portfolio.
  • Manage customer technical queries and coordinate responses.
  • Support account managers in defining and executing sales opportunities in the Simulation domain.
  • Lead the construction of collateral for client requests and proposals.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in the Simulation domain, including proof of concepts and defining requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to influence teams positively.
  • BS/BA in an Engineering or Simulation discipline.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience leading teams of technical and business consultants.
  • Open to an average of 50% domestic travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of recent simulation software sales or presales experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • 5+ years of expertise in the digital enterprise space.
  • Proven success in an Engineering role in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Ability to present technology solutions effectively to groups.
  • Executive level engagement experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-physics domains and simulation concepts.
