About the position

At AWS Enterprise Support, we are seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to play a pivotal role in supporting our customers' innovative spirit across a wide range of technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data/Analytics, Application-level services, Networking, and Serverless solutions. The TAM acts as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their cloud journey and enhancing their understanding of AWS cloud services to align with their business objectives. This position is particularly focused on our Strategic Industries group, specifically catering to strategic accounts in the Energy and Utilities sector. As part of the rapidly expanding AWS Enterprise Support organization, this role offers numerous opportunities for professional development in technical, consulting, operational, and leadership skills. You will collaborate with talented cloud technologists and gain in-depth knowledge of AWS products. Responsibilities

  • Develop trusting relationships with customers and understand their business needs and drivers.
  • Review service disruptions and provide monthly/quarterly metrics to customers.
  • Assist with pre-launch planning and technical challenges.
  • Utilize technical skills to solve difficult support issues.
  • Understand operational parameters and troubleshooting processes for customer issues and escalations.
  • Advocate for customer needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development.
  • Improve customer capabilities by running workshops, operations, and architecture reviews.
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing costs and driving efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with customers across all levels, from developers to C-Suite executives.
  • Work with multiple functions within AWS, including Solutions Architects, Business Developers, and Sales Account Managers.

Requirements

  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, applications development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Experience in technical engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional fluency in English and Italian.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
  • Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
