With over 400+ million tracks from 40 million artists, the future of music is SoundCloud. The SoundCloud summer internship program is a 10-week paid internship starting in June and ending in August. Our DEI-focused program is designed to create sustainable pipelines to invest in SoundCloud’s future, discover new, diverse talent at all levels, and develop future leaders who will contribute to all business areas. Interns will be fully immersed in the team, receiving opportunities to enhance their skills, and contribute to our mission. Furthermore, interns will receive various professional and personal development opportunities, like mentorship programming, fireside chats with senior leadership, innovative stretch assignments, and the chance to participate in networking events with other SoundCloud employees across the organization. SoundCloud is looking for a Technical Account Manager Intern to join our Fan Content Operations team. They will work closely with the team to support our rightsholders who deliver their music to SoundCloud and optimize our content operations processes. By the end of the internship, they will better understand music metadata, rightsholder relationships, and the digital streaming landscape.

Responsibilities

• Support the Content Operations team in our work liaising with labels and rightsholders about SoundCloud
• Update and maintain documentation and help articles for labels and distributors
• Survey our team inbox and operational requests, categorizing emails and tracking request volumes
• Create concise reference material and instructional resources
• Assist with ongoing administrative tasks
• With training, support rightsholder operational requests
• With training, understand rightsholder metadata using technical tools like SQL and BigQuery

Requirements

• Proficient in G-Suite, particularly Google Sheets
• Strong organizational skills
• Passion about music and is a frequent user of SoundCloud
• Basic understanding of web page layouts (similar to Wordpress or blog pages)

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of music metadata and copyright is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL and/or BigQuery is a plus
• Understanding of the music industry and its record label landscape is a plus
