About the position
The Technical Account Manager - Sales Data Analyst at Onto Innovation plays a crucial role in the Inspection Business Unit (IBU) by serving as the primary contact and product expert for field sales. This position focuses on developing complex semiconductor processing equipment and requires strong analytical skills to navigate an ambiguous environment. The successful candidate will engage cross-functionally with various teams to secure future business and optimize customer agreements.
Responsibilities
- Develop expert level knowledge on the IBU product portfolio
- Engage cross-functionally with field sales, product management, engineering, operations, and executive leadership
- Respond to customer statements of work and specification documents to structure agreements that optimize benefit to customer and Onto
- Manage system configurations, quotes, and pricing
- Monitor and communicate internal build cycle of purchased systems
- Develop custom engineering request documents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or similar discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, or related)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, system block diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements
- Ability to work within a cross-functional team and motivate individuals without direct authority
- Takes initiative to begin projects independently
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially presentation and story-telling skills
- Leader and motivator of personnel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Semiconductor/Semiconductor capital equipment experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with Inspection and Metrology is a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required
