About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) plays a crucial role in managing the post-sales process for Enterprise-level customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business growth. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to articulate the company's technology and product offerings effectively to both business and technical users. The TAM is responsible for identifying business opportunities, providing product support, and collaborating with various internal teams to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts.
  • Identify and develop potential new business opportunities as well as uncover upsell opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide functional and technical support to customers.
  • Respond to customer questions on technical and business-related issues.
  • Deliver high-level and detailed sales presentations.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years relevant experience in a technical account management or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge in security and compliance space, including Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Scanners, PCI, and Audit Tools.
  • Knowledge of Federal Regulatory Compliance issues such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, GLBA, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and professional communication in emails, RFPs, and reports.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within customer organizations, from C-level to front-line technical staff.
  • Organized and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with 'Big 4' or similar consulting firms.
