About the position

The Technical Account Manager at Snowplow plays a crucial role in the Customer team, focusing on providing consultative and advisory support to clients. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer-facing skills to help organizations leverage their customer behavioral data effectively. The role emphasizes understanding customer needs, designing tailored solutions, and collaborating with various internal teams to drive customer success and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with various Snowplow team members to support customer accounts, ensuring they deliver value with data.
  • Providing consultation and advisory support to customers regarding solutions and use case development.
  • Educating, retaining, and growing customers through tailored workshops and advisory sessions.
  • Collaborating with Solution Architects to develop technical artifacts that support organizational success.
  • Creating customer-facing documentation and suggesting process improvements within the Customer Office.
  • Developing domain expertise in key verticals through customer collaborations and industry research.
  • Interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Working closely with the Customer Success team to develop a long-term strategy for product activation and adoption.
  • Leading or supporting administrative processes to drive efficiencies within the Professional Services and Customer Office teams.
  • Training newer team members on technology and processes.

Requirements

  • Experience and a solid understanding of the data space, including cloud infrastructure and database technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with experience in manipulating data.
  • Experience in a consultative role managing a customer portfolio for success.
  • Ability to read stakeholder dynamics and adapt delivery style accordingly.
  • Previous experience with complex software products, ideally in designing solutions and gathering requirements.
  • Passion for working at the intersection of technology and business problems, delivering business impact through data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience using Snowplow, either Snowplow BDP or open source.
  • Experience working client-side or agency-side as an analyst, analytics engineer, data engineer, data consultant, or data scientist.
