The Technical Account Manager position is a full-time role based in Fremont, CA, with a salary range of $80,000 to $180,000 per year. This role is pivotal in driving sales and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the cloud services and data center sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing total sales with Cloud Services Providers (CSPs), Cloud Data Centers, and large Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) while meeting annual budget targets. The position requires a proactive approach to managing customer relationships, ensuring efficient communication, and coordinating sales activities across various groups and sites. In this role, the Technical Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating communication and addressing any concerns that may arise. The individual will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including design wins and market share gains, while developing and implementing effective sales plans and growth strategies tailored to the territory and customer needs. Providing technical support throughout the sales cycle and assisting with marketing efforts for product development and implementation will also be key responsibilities. The Technical Account Manager will need to solve problems and implement improvement activities to achieve and maintain an excellent customer scorecard rating. This includes driving sales growth by maximizing resources and executing market segment strategies. The role also involves forecasting business levels, analyzing trends, and coordinating support and service levels with manufacturing teams. Staying informed about products, competitors, technology, and customer trends in the data center product market is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Increase total sales with Cloud Services Providers (CSPs), Cloud Data Centers, large Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and meet annual budget targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers in cloud data centers, 5G, high-power, and high-speed communications across sourcing, engineering, and operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with customers, managing overall relationships and facilitating efficient communication.
  • Coordinate and drive sales activities across various groups, CSPs, Cloud Services Providers, Cloud Data Centers, large OEMs, and ODM sites.
  • Identify and pursue new and existing business opportunities, including design wins, new programs, and market share gains.
  • Develop and implement sales plans and growth strategies for the territory and customers.
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle and assist with marketing efforts for product development and implementation.
  • Solve problems and implement improvement activities to achieve and maintain an 'excellent' customer scorecard rating.
  • Drive sales growth by maximizing resources and executing market segment strategies.
  • Forecast business levels, analyze trends, and coordinate support and service levels with manufacturing teams.
  • Keep up-to-date with products, competitors, technology, and customer trends in the data center product market and assigned supplier product market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Interconnect Industry, preferably in sales or engineering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project management and forecasting.
  • Highly motivated to learn.
