About the position

The Technical Account Manager position at Eurofins Scientific is focused on revenue generation and sales activities within the Safety Field Business Unit, specifically related to the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) business. This role is crucial for meeting company and team goals, requiring a blend of technical expertise and customer interaction to ensure compliance with performance testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help ALI Program clients navigate compliance with performance testing requirements.
• Work with a technical team to set up, test, and disassemble equipment under evaluation by ALI and partner laboratories.
• Set up and execute tests, document results, and prepare reports using custom testing solutions.
• Operate testing equipment, read schematics, troubleshoot issues, and interact with technical support staff.
• Conduct safety field testing across multiple standards covered by Eurofins E&E scope.
• Conduct Testing and Certification within Eurofins E&E NRTL scope and accreditation.
• Interpret standards and apply requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures and record results.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and operates properly.
• Support the sales team by providing quotes and updates to managers and project coordinators.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a product certification engineer.
• Experience with regulatory test requirements and applicable standards.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 70% to customer sites and ALI in Cortland NY.
