About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Qualys is responsible for managing the post-sales process with both direct and channel customers. This role involves articulating the company's technology and product positioning to various stakeholders, identifying technical and business issues within assigned accounts, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product and technical support for assigned accounts
  • Identify and develop potential new business opportunities
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams
  • Provide functional and technical support to customers
  • Respond to customer questions on technical and business related issues
  • Deliver high-level and detailed sales presentations
  • Attend conferences, seminars, etc.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge in security and compliance space: Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Scanners, PCI, Policy Compliance and Audit Tools, and other enterprise security solutions
  • Knowledge in variety of Federal Regulatory Compliance issues: ISO 27001, HIPAA, GLBA, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Strong presentation skills and professional communication in emails, RFPs, and reports
  • Comfortable interacting at all levels within customer organizations, from C-level to front-line technical staff
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel throughout sales territory
