About the position

The Technical Account Manager is responsible for account management, sales management, and business development within the GAS/SPEC Technology Group. This role involves delivering technical consulting, managing commercial sales processes, and differentiating GAS/SPEC products and services. The position requires a strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with both existing and new customers, while also collaborating with internal technical teams to create competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Account management at all levels of the customer's organization, delivering monthly forecasts and pricing implementation.
  • Develop new opportunities with existing and new customers, including prospecting and market development initiatives.
  • Create technical-economical proposals for customers, collaborating with the technical service group.
  • Manage the project cycle from inquiry to startup, tracking project progress and communicating with the business.
  • Work with GAS/SPEC distributors on pricing, demand forecasting, and training.
  • Build GAS/SPEC brand loyalty by referencing successful account operations and developing communication tools.
  • Prioritize potential accounts based on expected returns and align with global strategy.
  • Collaborate on projects and services as needed by the group.
  • Participate in industry papers, panels, or presentations to enhance technical knowledge and promote GAS/SPEC Technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in gas processing, chemical industry, or refining.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing position.
  • Strong presentation skills in both small and large group settings.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus.
  • Successful negotiation and influencing skills, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in chemical reactions and chemical unit operations (distillation, flash separation, compression, heat exchange).
  • Knowledge in amine process simulation preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus.
