About the position

The Technical Account Manager serves as the primary IT Manager for small to mid-size corporate clients, providing consulting services to support their IT environments. This role emphasizes outstanding customer service, technical understanding of infrastructure needs, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities include developing project proposals, managing client relationships, and mobilizing technical staff to address urgent situations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the IT Manager for various small to mid-size corporate clients.
  • Develop project proposals and product quotes.
  • Understand technical product lines and manage projects.
  • Respond to customer requests and schedule appropriate technical staff.
  • Write client proposals, including system design/architecture and budget estimation.
  • Scope and quote hardware and software for clients.
  • Review proposals with customers and obtain sales orders.
  • Manage incoming client requests and proactively manage client relationships.
  • Schedule and track projects and engineering tasks within the company's systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer, primary engineer, and team members during projects and emergencies.
  • Manage and expand existing accounts and provide 1st-tier phone support.
  • Plan and manage client IT projects and enhance client systems.
  • Develop new business opportunities through referrals and networking.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers, completing vendor training.

Requirements

  • A thorough understanding of IT integration and implementation.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Comfort using and discussing technology, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and professional phone/email manner.
