About the position

The Technical Account Manager position at Eurofins Scientific is responsible for revenue generation and sales activity within the Safety Field Business Unit, specifically focusing on the Automotive Lift Institute business. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with performance testing requirements and involves working closely with technical teams to set up, test, and evaluate products. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer interaction to meet company and team goals.

Responsibilities

• Help clients navigate the compliance process for performance testing requirements related to ALI and Safety Standards.
• Work with a technical team to set up, test, and disassemble equipment under evaluation by ALI and partner laboratories.
• Set up and execute tests, document results, and prepare reports using custom testing solutions.
• Operate testing equipment, read schematics, troubleshoot issues, and interact with technical support staff.
• Conduct safety field testing across multiple standards covered by Eurofins E&E scope.
• Conduct Testing and Certification within Eurofins E&E NRTL scope and accreditation.
• Interpret standards and apply requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures and record results accordingly.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and operates properly.
• Support the sales team by providing quotes and updates to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a product certification engineer, with experience in a Mechanical and Electrical testing laboratory environment.
• Experience with regulatory test requirements and applicable standards measurements.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 70% to customer sites and ALI in Cortland NY as needed.
