About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Sovos Compliance plays a crucial role in the Customer Success team, acting as the primary technical contact for key enterprise accounts. This position is responsible for overseeing customer implementations, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the customer journey, and driving technical projects from inception to completion. The TAM serves as a trusted advisor, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while maximizing the value of Sovos products and services for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts.
  • Assist customers with installation, configuration, maintenance, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate code deployment processes involving cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Drive technical projects from inception through Go Live and beyond.
  • Conduct annual account review meetings and coordinate account health reviews.
  • Provide innovative solutions to enhance the software based on customer feedback.
  • Deliver training to internal teams and customers on software use and best practices.
  • Manage customer-specific crisis communications during emergencies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in customer implementations, technical support, or a similar role.
  • Software industry experience preferred; SaaS experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sovos products, tax rules, SQL queries, and scripting.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to manage client projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Proficient in project management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
