About the position

The Technique Account Manager serves as the primary technical source for supporting sales activities within designated regions. This role is crucial in ensuring that customer service functions operate smoothly on a daily basis. The Technique Account Manager is responsible for handling initial inquiries from customers, dealers, and the general public, ensuring that all interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, as it involves managing order placements, addressing complaints, and providing technical support to clients. In addition to customer interactions, the Technique Account Manager is tasked with managing and processing price quotes, orders, promotions, and customer contracts. This requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex pricing structures and contractual obligations. The role also involves providing technical advice and assisting customers in troubleshooting issues, which necessitates a strong understanding of the products and services offered by the company. Training is another key responsibility of the Technique Account Manager. This includes organizing and delivering presentations and demonstrations for both internal sales teams and external distributors. The ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively is essential in this aspect of the role. Furthermore, the Technique Account Manager will represent the company's technical division at tradeshows and exhibitions, showcasing the company's offerings and engaging with potential clients. This position requires approximately twice per week of business travel, which adds an element of flexibility and variety to the role. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of flexible scheduling to accommodate travel and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Handles initial inquiries from customers, dealers, and the general public.
  • Handles order placement, complaints, technical support, etc.
  • Manage and process price quotes, orders, promotion, and customer contracts.
  • Provide technical advice and help customers in troubleshooting.
  • Organize and provide training for internal sales and external distributors by delivering presentations and demos.
  • Represent the company's technical division in tradeshows and exhibitions.
  • This position requires approximately twice per week business travel.

Requirements

  • Minimal Bachelor degree in biology, biochemistry, biological engineering, microbiology or related majors, with previous experience of molecular biology and biochemistry. Master degree is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of gene synthesis and protein expression is a plus.
  • Speak both English and Chinese fluently.
  • Holding a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a team.
  • Previous experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Quick learner, Customer-focused and proactive.
