About the position

The Technical Account Manager at Baker Hughes serves as a liaison engineer between the New Orleans customer and the Baker Hughes Service Engineering teams in Houston and Florence. This role focuses on managing technologies related to gas turbines, compressors, and other rotary machines, ensuring effective communication and support for customer needs, particularly during outages and technical investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Canadian customer installed base of gas turbines and compressors, including issue resolution and fleet management.
  • Conduct outage management, assisting with planning and fast issue resolution during outages.
  • Lead technical communication for investigations and collaborate with global experts to optimize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior business leaders.
  • Communicate solutions across functions and with cross-functional partner organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience in design engineering, repair development, and/or field service of rotary machines including gas turbines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and lead small teams.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills, along with analytical and organizational abilities.
