About the position

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) for Financial Services Industry (FSI) customers at MongoDB plays a crucial role in technical problem-solving and account leadership. This position focuses on understanding the unique needs and stringent requirements of FSI customers, ensuring they successfully utilize MongoDB's developer data platform. TAMs engage with customers to define shared objectives, navigate complex environments, and anticipate customer needs, ultimately fostering strong relationships and delivering positive technical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary resource for technical leaders and key decision makers at FSI accounts.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and advise them on building and scaling solutions with MongoDB.
  • Provide expert guidance on MongoDB instances, architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
  • Document and share knowledge to enable peer success and enhance professional services offerings.
  • Engage in deep-dive discovery and roadmap development with customers to define objectives.
  • Act as the eyes and ears of the product team, listening for new requirements and opportunities for development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure customer success.

Requirements

  • Considerable experience designing, scaling, and managing production database deployments in FSI.
  • Track record of creating measurable business impact and effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a calm and authoritative presence in escalated issues.
  • Strong relationship management and account leadership skills with FSI customers.
  • Experience serving as a technical expert for large-scale systems and communicating complex workloads.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with modern service architectures and cloud service stacks.
  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and CI/CD best practices.
  • Ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure.
