About the position

The Technical Account Manager at Charles IT serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, advocating for their needs and guiding them through the company's technical offerings. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients, understanding their business functions and IT challenges, and ensuring they receive exceptional service and support. The position requires a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused individual with a technical background to manage client expectations and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain positive, long-lasting relationships with clients as their primary point of contact.
  • Understand clients' business functions, needs, IT challenges, and risks.
  • Cross-sell, recommend, and integrate Charles IT solutions to achieve stack attainment.
  • Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of current Charles IT products, services, and offerings.
  • Build client technology roadmaps for planning, budgeting, and visualizing gaps and risks.
  • Communicate progress of initiatives and roadmap items through client meetings and Technology Business Reviews.
  • Maintain frequent touch points with clients through various activities and mediums.
  • Work with teams throughout Charles IT to ensure clients receive exceptional service.
  • Leverage subject matter experts and technical sales architects to quote solutions accurately.
  • Respond to clients in a timely manner and establish realistic expectations.
  • Maintain customer documentation and approve all outbound client quotes and proposals.
  • Stay informed about client projects and timelines, participating in internal project-related meetings.

Requirements

  • Technical background with previous experience in a technical role.
  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field; 1-3+ years related experience or training, preferably in technology.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple client needs and function collaboratively in a fast-paced team.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate and work with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Experience with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and Advanced Support on Mac OS is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of a growing company and client base.
  • Excellent follow-through to see tasks through completion.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform independently with little or no supervision.
  • High level of organization and sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Current, valid US driver's license is required.

  • Experience with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365 platform, and Advanced Support on Mac OS.
