About the position

The Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the external financial reporting process for our cutting-edge technology firm. This position is responsible for ensuring that all financial reports are prepared accurately and in compliance with SEC regulations. The manager will lead the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K, and will be the primary point of contact for external auditors during the audit process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, as well as the ability to interpret complex accounting standards and apply them to our financial reporting processes. In addition to managing the reporting process, the Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting function. This includes identifying opportunities for process improvements and leveraging technology to streamline reporting activities. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to gather necessary information and ensure that all disclosures are complete and accurate. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager will also be expected to stay current with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of our financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the external financial reporting process, including all SEC reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K.

Requirements

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Strong public accounting audit background preferred.
  • Experience with SEC reporting is essential.
  • Familiarity with Workiva or similar SEC reporting software is a plus.
