About the position
Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Full-time Technical Aide to support the Mammography, Ultrasound, X-ray, and Dexa departments in the Deptford office. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within the outpatient radiology practice, providing patient care and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Prepares charts and registers patients.
- Takes patient history and processes paperwork.
- Monitors the patient in the clinical area when the technologist is elsewhere.
- Assists the technologist with patient care.
- Greets patients and escorts them to the changing area, providing gown instructions.
- Safely enters and completes work responsibilities within the MRI area.
- Assists patients with wheelchairs and dressing as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college coursework is a plus.
- CPR Certification from American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross required, must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- BLS Certification required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work around MRI and CT equipment.
- Skilled in utilizing standard office equipment, including computers.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous radiology practice experience is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varying shift times and travel to other office locations if needed.
