About the position

The Technical Analyst, Revenue Integrity plays a crucial role in supporting the financial, clinical, and business analysis activities at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations that involve planning, preparation, and delivery of comprehensive analyses that inform decision-making processes. The analyst will maintain and develop data extractions for both internal and external use, ensuring that analytics are robust and reliable. A key focus of this role is to standardize decision support functions, which includes conducting financial analyses and evaluating service line profitability. The Technical Analyst will also be tasked with reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of various analyses, reports, and projects that measure the financial and operational performance of the hospital. In addition to the analytical responsibilities, the Technical Analyst will promote the facility's mission, vision, and values by effectively communicating them to colleagues and stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to data collection and analysis, ensuring that data validation and report preparation are conducted efficiently to support financial analyses. The analyst will lead the development of solutions aimed at maximizing data appropriateness, consistency, and timeliness, while minimizing the burden of data collection and analysis. Furthermore, the Technical Analyst will support the Revenue Cycle by developing, updating, and maintaining reimbursement models, collaborating closely with finance and reimbursement staff to validate and enhance these models. The position also involves evaluating, recommending, and maintaining systems that support financial analysis and decision support functions. The Technical Analyst will coordinate the resolution of operational and technical issues related to financial and decision support systems, working in conjunction with the Information Systems department and vendor support groups as necessary. Analyzing complex financial data, extracting relevant information, and interpreting data to assess past financial performance and project future financial probabilities are also key components of this role. The Technical Analyst may also be involved in other duties and special projects as needed, contributing to the overall success of the hospital's financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the facility mission, vision, and values by effectively communicating them to others.
  • Provides direction and oversight for data collection and analysis, data validation, and report preparation to facilitate and support financial analyses.
  • Leads the development of solutions to maximize data appropriateness, consistency, and timeliness, and minimizes the burden of data collection and analysis.
  • Supports the Revenue Cycle by developing, updating, and maintaining reimbursement models.
  • Works with finance and reimbursement staff on an ongoing basis to validate and improve these models.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and maintains systems that support financial analysis and decision support functions.
  • Coordinates the resolution of operational and technical issues and problems regarding financial and decision support systems with the Information Systems department and vendor support groups as required.
  • Analyzes complex financial data and extracts and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (Emphasis Required).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare billing.
  • Healthcare experience is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and can type at least 35 WPM.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle SQL.
  • Requires reasoning ability, good independent judgment, and the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • High-level problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, project management, consensus building, problem resolution, and quantitative analysis skills are essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS SQL and/or Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint software applications.
