About the position

The Technical Analyst plays a crucial role in providing technical project oversight for various technology projects that support application and service deployments within the Judicial Branch. This position involves collaboration with project managers, network engineers, vendors, and local court IT staff to ensure compliance with information security policies and branch standards. The analyst serves as the primary technical liaison with third-party vendors and is responsible for documenting technical assessments, validating requirements, generating system design diagrams, and providing subject matter expertise on shared infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical project oversight for multiple technology projects.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with third-party vendors.
  • Assist with the documentation of technical assessments.
  • Validate business and technical requirements.
  • Generate system design diagrams.
  • Ensure project compliance with information security policies and branch standards.
  • Support core infrastructure technologies such as enterprise directory services and name resolution.
  • Manage technical projects, including conflict resolution and status reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years technical experience with network infrastructure, information security architecture, and application system deployment projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience with state government IT projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a government agency and interfacing with other government agencies or entities.
  • Minimum of 3 years technical experience with tier 3 data center environments.
  • Experience working on multiple simultaneous IT projects throughout the entire life cycle from design to deployment.
  • Experience managing technical projects, including conflict resolution, issue escalations, status reporting, and resource management.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Hosting, cloud architectures, and cloud service providers, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN and cloud exchange solutions, particularly Equinix.
  • Knowledgeable of enterprise network infrastructure design concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous project experience with California Department of Motor Vehicles and California Department of Justice.
  • Experience with local or Federal IT Projects.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Project Management Tool.
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Experience with SNA Gateway technologies such as Microsoft HIS.
  • Samples of relevant published work such as technical implementation plans and architectural documentation.
