About the position

Meta is seeking a Technical Architect for its Data Center Product Development and Integration team. This role involves designing and constructing critical facilities, documenting building concepts, and coordinating with various disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of data centers. The ideal candidate will integrate LEED and NetZero concepts into their designs, ensuring that Meta's data centers are reliable and efficient to support the company's growth. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in Autodesk products and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and explore technological advancements and requirements while balancing business priorities around cost, efficiency, time to delivery, NetZero and sustainability.
  • Lead explorations into new data center building solutions, materials, and processes.
  • Support and partner with a team of Building System Engineering Architects and MEP engineers to envision new built solutions and refine current designs.
  • Document the evolution of conceptual designs and align Revit models for analysis.
  • Support review and updates to Global Standards documentation in the CSLA discipline globally.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners and external consultants to develop, evaluate, coordinate, and define changes to Meta Data Centers.
  • Manage consultants to implement global programmatic design and initiatives, ensuring business goals and technical needs are met.
  • Drive project schedules while working closely with design and construction teams to ensure milestones and completion dates are on track.
  • Support Sustainability programs such as LEED Gold, NetZero, and Water Positivity programs.

Requirements

  • BArch or MArch, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Office, Revit/BIM, and Google Suite.
  • Experience with cross-discipline teams to design critical facilities.
  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and analyzing data metrics for design and construction disciplines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mission critical facility, healthcare, laboratories, industrial or aerospace industry design, construction, operations, and/or maintenance.
  • LEED AP certification.
  • Owner's representative experience.
  • PMP certification.
