About the position

The Technical Architect/Project Manager at GHP INC will oversee a variety of architecture and construction projects, focusing on detailing, code compliance, quality control, and problem-solving. This role involves collaboration with clients and mentoring junior staff, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations and assessments of property conditions and provide solutions.
  • Arrange and lead meetings on design and construction progress of projects.
  • Oversee the design phases and construction administration process to ensure accuracy.
  • Cultivate and collaborate with clientele.
  • Responsible for QA/QC of all construction/contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare proposals and internal budgets.
  • Participate in monthly invoice meetings.
  • Research products and prepare specifications.
  • Review RFI's and submittals during project construction.
  • Coordinate with appropriate authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) for project approval.
  • Coordinate with consultants throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 5-8 years of progressive Architecture experience.
  • Registered Architect (Licensed) NCARB certified.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship (GHP cannot sponsor foreign candidates).
  • Background in Construction Administration preferred.
  • General Contracting knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in Cost Estimating.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Code review.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Municipal, Multi-family, Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, Education, Labs, Renovation/New construction.
  • Revit knowledge/experience.
  • Bluebeam knowledge/experience.
