About the position

The Technical Art Director for GenAI for Games at Netflix will lead the development and implementation of generative AI in game art production. This role focuses on enhancing the creative capabilities of game art teams through innovative workflows and tools, while also collaborating with external partners on ambitious projects. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and creative vision to drive the future of game development and player experiences.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on the latest game art tools, workflows, and generative AI developments.
• Develop strategies for leveraging generative AI to enhance art teams' capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish effective workflows and pipelines for game projects.
• Address challenges in delivering art for new types of games enabled by generative AI.
• Influence project decisions and strategic execution as a member of the GenAI for Games leadership team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an artist, lead artist, art director, technical artist, or technical art director in the game industry.
• Expertise in setting up art pipelines, workflows, and tools for various game genres.
• Ability to operate successfully in high ambiguity and with developing technologies.
• Passion for generative AI in games and knowledge of its application in art production.
• Experience collaborating with both internal and external teams.
• Strong creative instincts and judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Experience contributing to early-stage game projects, including concepting and prototyping.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships based on trust.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
