About the position
As a Technical Artist at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual quality and development of 3D graphics for training computer vision and machine learning algorithms. This position involves rendering, image quality assurance, tools, pipelines, and innovative solutions to push visual boundaries and develop methodologies for complex synthetic data content challenges in both offline and real-time environments. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to create synthetic data content that supports advanced technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop synthetic data content for machine learning and computer vision.
- Create 3D objects and perform pipeline-related work.
- Collaborate with external teams, create documentation, and train others.
- Lead small initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Handle installation and relocation tasks involving heavy equipment.
- Set up employee user accounts, workstations, monitors, etc.
- Utilize knowledge of Mac OS and Windows.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Maya, Vray, Substance, Houdini, or similar tools.
- Expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, look development, lighting, and rendering.
- Detail-oriented with a quick understanding of synthetic data development.
- Experience in outsourcing 3D content and training others.
- An eye for automation and procedural content development solutions.
- Python experience is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with industry veterans from Disney, Pixar, ILM, Electronic Arts, DreamWorks.
