About the position

As a Technical Business Analyst on the Employee Benefits Technology Strategy team at Equitable, you will play a vital role in connecting business needs with technical solutions. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyzing business processes, and working closely with the IT team to enhance technology solutions for the client portal and administrative systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements.
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as a bridge between business teams and IT, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Work with development teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of test plans to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Drive business analysis efforts related to data integration within the platform and with external parties.
  • Develop and execute test plans for user acceptance testing.
  • Work with various stakeholders including business leaders, external sales and technology teams, internal sales teams, and other Employee Benefits team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, preferably in a technical role.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • Comfortable and familiar with writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • 5+ years working with data integrations, systems analysis, or business analysis.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong desire to understand end-to-end system impacts.
  • High level of productivity, reliability, responsibility, attendance, dependability, organization, and accuracy.

Nice-to-haves
