About the position

The Technical Business Analyst plays a crucial role in helping business customers implement technology solutions effectively and efficiently. This position involves determining project requirements and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, ensuring that both technical and non-technical audiences understand the objectives. The analyst will work within Agile environments, particularly on SCRUM teams, to facilitate the development process and support the implementation of IT system applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand business units' operations and key process dependencies.
• Participate in the QA process by defining test cases based on user requirements.
• Support development teams in clarifying requirements and features from business units.
• Identify, document, and communicate complex requirements across systems and business domains.
• Prepare business process maps, workflows, use cases, functional specifications, and wireframes.
• Develop Agile Product Backlog items for development teams and business owners.
• Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions.
• Understand the integration of processes across domains and project plans.
• Identify business processes for redesign and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years practical experience in technical business analysis.
• At least 3 years experience in scrum/agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of SQL statements and relational databases.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, and ASP.Net.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Team Foundation Server and SharePoint.
• Strong experience in documenting and validating requirements.
• Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in application development in IT departments in government or private sector.
• Knowledge of the education industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Services.
• Experience in the education industry is preferred.
