About the position

The Technical Business Analyst/Product Manager role at Fisher Investments involves providing business and product support for investment operations, particularly within the Cloud Platform team. The position focuses on collaborating with various teams to ensure system performance, monitor production platforms, and contribute to product development through process improvements and solution design.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Management groups including Portfolio Accounting, Portfolio Analytics, Security Operations, Portfolio Implementation, and Trading Operations to ensure system performance.
  • Monitor production platforms for start of day readiness and general system health.
  • Foster dialogue and communication between internal business customers, Technology Teams, and application vendors.
  • Provide operational and incident support for assigned applications and modules.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria based on requirements.
  • Define business, functional, and technical systems requirements with accompanying solution details and diagrams.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify ways to refine processes by recommending automation, restructuring, or elimination of items.
  • Provide business recommendations based on critical analysis.
  • Maintain accuracy while managing multiple requests with varying complexities and due dates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager supporting business-critical applications in Wealth or Investment Management Technology.
  • Hands-on experience in Portfolio management platforms including Portfolio Accounting, Order Generation, Performance and Reporting, and Market Security.
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio management concepts such as Positions, Trades, and Securities.
  • Ability to analyze various situations and develop creative solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
