About the position

The Technical Business Analyst will support the Cloud Platform team at Fisher Investments, focusing on providing business and product support for investment operations. This role involves collaborating with various teams to understand business requirements, identify process improvements, and design and implement solutions that contribute to the firm's global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Management group including Portfolio Accounting, Portfolio Analytics, Security Operations, Portfolio Implementation, Portfolio Engineering, Traders, and Trading Operations Teams.
  • Monitor production platforms for start of day readiness and general system health.
  • Foster dialogue and communication between internal business customers, Technology Teams, and application vendors.
  • Provide operational and incident support for assigned applications and modules.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria based on business requirements.
  • Define business, functional, and technical systems requirements accompanied with solution detail and diagrams.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify ways to streamline processes by recommending items for automation, restructuring, or elimination.
  • Provide business recommendations based on critical analysis.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple requests with varying complexities and due dates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Product Manager supporting business-critical applications in Wealth or Investment Management Technology.
  • Hands-on experience in Portfolio management platforms (Portfolio Accounting, Order Generation, Performance and Reporting, Market Security).
  • Working knowledge of Portfolio management concepts (Positions, Trades, Securities).
  • Proactive ownership mindset.
  • Ability to analyze various situations and develop creative solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
